The Blue Scarves....

Postby HellBlazerRaiser » Tue Jun 08, 2010 6:17 pm

Hello Misters Willingham and Buckingham!!!

Mr. Willingham:
Are the blue scarves worn by various characters (in the foreground and the background) written into the scripts?
If they are, do you specify which characters are going to get one?

If not....

Mr. Buckingham:
How are you selecting which characters get a scarf?

Thanks!!!

Dan,
The answer is a bit of both, but mostly it's down to Bill.
Initially ( #83 ) Bill let me choose some of the characters that were being drawn towards Stinky's cause.
Since then Bill has been selecting more specifically who has chosen to wear the Blue Scarves. I was just sent script for #98 which specifies all those at the farm who are now Blue returnists.
Hope that helps!

I think, as the story moves along, you find that some who haven't worn the blue will decided to do so, some who have will decided to stop doing so, and so on. I suspect it's all building up to something.

And that's the kind-of detail that makes Fables AWESOME.

That is pretty cool. It's been so right in my face for some issues and others,it's upon the third or fourth reading that I noticed more.

I was randomly flipping through the WITCHES arc last night and I saw in #91 that one of the new pigs (on page 3) and a gob (on page 1) had the scarves on and I thought to myself, "How the heck did I not see that the first 5 times I read the arc?"

I am thisclose to buying a blue scarf....I am 100% behind Brock Blueheart.

Me too! I would totally buy that! I would also buy plushies of the farm fables and would love a Bigby wolf to snuggle!

Without giving away exactly what it is -- the Fables giveaway for this year's San Diego show are far too cool and being produced now. There will be very limited quantity.

I live in Philly. I had planned to go to the San Diego con this year, but some unforeseen events occurred that put the kibosh on my plans.

Will there be a way to make it available for certain longtime board members? ;)
